1. Photosynthesis and cellular respiration: • If this is a C3 plant, in the presence of sunlight and water the plant will do photosynthesis within the tight container by absorbing carbon di-oxide generated by the same plant during its respiration. The plant will survive. • In an airtight container the mouse will not survive despite having food and water. Because the mouse will inhale oxygen and exhale carbon di-oxide during respiration. At one point the oxygen will finish and the jar will be filled with carbon-di oxide. The mouse will die.
